Dialog Tower, the new headquarters of Dialog Group Bhd., stands as a testament to modern architectural excellence. Strategically located in the prestigious business district of Mutiara Damansara, it is approximately 20 km from Kuala Lumpur City Centre. As one of Malaysia’s foremost oil and gas companies, Dialog Group Bhd. has entrusted its headquarters to a design that reflects both innovation and elegance. The building’s design draws inspiration from the graceful form of a single drop of oil, symbolizing the company’s core industry. This concept is beautifully expressed through the building’s distinctive façade, which wraps around the office tower, creating a fluid and dynamic visual impression. At the base of the tower, the oil-drop design culminates in a grand and welcoming entrance, making a bold architectural statement. The building is classified as a Grade A office space, meeting the highest standards of commercial and environmental design. It occupies a compact site, and its design features an organic layout, thoughtfully divided into two main sections: a 5-storey annex and a 16-storey office tower. The tower, encompassing approximately 18,600 m² of net floor space, is designed to house a variety of office spaces, meeting rooms, and recreational amenities for employees.
Technical Description
EDP Consulting Group Sdn. Bhd. was appointed as the main consultant for the entire project, overseeing every stage from planning and detailed design to construction supervision and local authority submissions. Our involvement also encompassed full civil infrastructure, geotechnical, and structural works. The structural design of the building is a sophisticated combination of steel and concrete composite materials to ensure durability and performance. The foundation is primarily supported by bored piles in an area of granitic rock, ensuring a solid base for this landmark project. This building structure is also one of the first in Malaysia to be designed for earthquake resistance.
